I am a dedicated IT professional with over 15 years experience in a manufacturing environment with over 300 employee's at six different locations. I have proven success and expertise in lowering IT costs by utilizing open source software to solve unique business problems in a "job shop" company.

7/1995 - Present - Garlock Printing & Converting, Gardner, MA

IT Manager

Multi-site IT manager responsible for all IT related duties, including managing two other IT employee's. One programmer, and one System Administrator.

Reduced telecommunications bill by 18%, as well as doubled the speed to the Internet at the same time.
Developed an in-house, highly customizable ERP system that has $0.00 licensing costs, by utilizing various open source projects such as: PHP, MySQL, and Linux servers. The code written is documented in such a way, that anyone with these skills would be able to maintain, and add to the system.
Increased employee awareness of various social engineering tactics used by malware writers to reduce the likelihood of malware infecting our systems by establishing various policy and procedures. By writing these procedures, as well as keeping them updated to changing threats regarding malware, we have not had a single infection to date.

9/1989 - 7/1992 - United States Air Force, Various, Various

Command and Control specialist

Keep commanders of various base units informed of all critical information related to our mission. Also flight following of all the units aircraft on both local and cross country missions. Immediate response to Emergency Action Messages, as well as the main point of contact for everything happening on the base.

Air Force achievement medal at the age of 19, for volunteerism of various overseas positions, including the Middle East, and the United Kingdom.
